Drive
The 2.8 D-4D turbo diesel engine is a peach, delivering 201bhp/150kW at 3,000rpm and 420Nm with a manual gearbox or 500Nm with the automatic. Permanent 4WD is standard with Downhill Assist Control in Active grade.
Practicality
The Land Cruiser Commercial has seating for two with a stripped out rear to create a flat load area. A full height mesh bulkhead with a hatch comes as standard, with the SWB model offering over 1,500-litres of space (2,216 litres in long wheelbase versions).
