Peugeot Warranty Explained

If you're a proud owner of a Peugeot vehicle or you are thinking of purchasing a Peugeot in the near future, understanding your Peugeot Warranty is essential. The Peugeot Warranty is designed to provide peace of mind and protection against unexpected repairs and defects.

Peugeot Warranty Eplained

The Peugeot Warranty is an agreement between the vehicle manufacturer and the owner, offering coverage for specific repairs and replacement parts within a designated period or mileage. Understanding the key aspects of the Peugeot Warranty will enable you to leverage its advantages fully.

Types of Peugeot Warranty

Peugeot offers different types of warranties in the UK, catering to various needs and preferences. These include:

New Vehicle Warranty

The New Vehicle Warranty is the standard warranty provided by Peugeot for all of their new vehicles sold in the UK. It covers the vehicle for a specific duration or mileage, whichever comes first. Details of these durations can be found below:

  • Diagnostics - 3 years (unlimited mileage on year 1 and 2, 60,000 miles on 3rd year)
  • Paintwork - 2 years
  • Perforation - 12 years
  • Electric - additional 8 years on traction battery

Extended Warranty

Peugeot also offers an Extended Warranty, which extends the coverage beyond the New Vehicle Warranty period. This option provides additional protection against unexpected repairs and ensures continued peace of mind for an extended period.

You can extend your existing Peugeot warranty providing that your vehicle is less than 10 years old, has no more than 100,000 miles on the clock and is currently covered by Peugeot Manufacturer, Approved, Extended or Renewal Warranty.

Coverage of the Peugeot Warranty

The Peugeot Warranty typically covers:

  • Engine and Transmission: The engine and transmission components are vital parts of any vehicle, and the warranty protects against defects and malfunctions.
  • Electrical Systems: This includes the vehicle's electrical components and systems, such as the starter motor and alternator.
  • Suspension: The suspension system is responsible for a smooth and comfortable ride, and the warranty covers repairs and replacements if needed.
  • Braking System: Ensuring the brakes are in top condition is crucial for safety, and the warranty covers necessary repairs.
  • Interior Features: The warranty may cover defects in the interior features of the vehicle, such as infotainment systems and climate control.

Exclusions from the Peugeot Warranty

It's important to be aware of certain exclusions from the Peugeot Warranty. These may include:

  • Regular Maintenance: Routine maintenance, such as oil changes and tire rotations, is the owner's responsibility and not covered by the warranty.
  • Wear and Tear: The warranty may not cover repairs resulting from normal wear and tear over time.
  • Non-Genuine Parts: If non-genuine parts or accessories are installed in the vehicle, the warranty may become void.

Benefits of the Peugeot Warranty

The Peugeot Warranty offers several benefits to owners, including:

  • Cost Savings: The warranty covers the cost of certain repairs and replacements, saving you money on unexpected expenses.
  • Peace of Mind: Knowing that your vehicle is protected against defects and major repairs provides peace of mind while driving.
  • Manufacturer Support: The warranty is backed by Peugeot, ensuring that repairs are carried out by qualified technicians using genuine parts.

Making a Warranty Claim

In the event of a covered issue, you'll need to make a warranty claim. Here's what you need to know:

  • Contact Peugeot: Reach out to an authorised Peugeot service centre to initiate the claim process.
  • Provide Information: You'll need to provide details about the issue and the vehicle's identification number (VIN).
  • Assessments: Peugeot technicians will assess the vehicle to determine if the issue is covered under the warranty.

Understanding the Peugeot Warranty is crucial for every Peugeot owner to maximize the benefits and protect their investment. From its coverage and terms to the process of making a claim, being well-informed about the warranty ensures a smooth ownership experience.

Remember to adhere to the maintenance requirements and use genuine parts to keep the warranty valid. Enjoy the confidence and peace of mind that come with owning a Peugeot, knowing that you're covered by the comprehensive Peugeot Warranty.
