New Peugeot 408 in Perth and Dundee
The New Peugeot 408 is the first Fastback of its kind, with a high ground clearance and electrification to transform your adventures. The plug-in hybrid is offered with 180hp and 225hp with an EV range of over 40-miles, or you can go for the 130 PureTech petrol with start & stop technology. All three have an EAT8 automatic gearbox and a new all-electric e-408 will join the range in 2023.
There are over 30 assistance systems available, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Night Vision system available optionally or as standard depending on the trim grade. Optionally, you can add the Drive Assist 2.0 package for semi-autonomous driving, which combines Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Lane Keeping Assist with semi-automatic lane change. Trims include Allure, Allure Premium and GT, with Allure getting a 10” digital driver’s display and 10” touchscreen. GT models have sportier styling and Clean Cabin, a cabin filter that filters out polluting gases and particles.
Masterfully sculpted with angular lines, sharp LED headlights and 17” to 20” alloy wheels, the new Peugeot 408 demands a second look. Inside, the i-Cockpit amazes with plush materials, figure-hugging seats and abundant passenger space.
The new 408 stays true to its Fastback shape with a sporty and refined drive. The plug-in hybrid has Electric, Hybrid and Sport modes, charging from 0-100% in as little as 1hr 55mins at home with the optional 7.4kW on board charger.
Thanks to its generous wheelbase, the new 408 has a huge 536-litre boot (471-litres in PHEV variants), expanding up to 1,611-litres. An electric tailgate and keyless entry and start come as standard to make access and loading simple.
Living with it
With abundant space and advanced assistance systems like 360 Vision and long range blind spot recognition available, the new 408 is a pleasure to own. The PHEV model will also slash your running costs, using no petrol around town.
