Our Annual Bake Sale Is Back, In Aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
We are delighted to announce that our annual bake sale is returning on 25th September, once again in aid of the wonderful Macmillan Cancer Support.
This is a cause that's very close to our hearts here at Struans. Cancer touches so many of our lives, whether directly or through the experiences of people we love, and Macmillan's work supporting people through diagnosis, treatment and beyond is something we're proud to get behind, year after year.
Earlier this month, one of our own team members took on Macmillan's Northumberland Mighty Hike, sponsored by Subaru, in support of the same cause. Lorraine and her friend Tracey completed the full marathon-distance route in an incredible 7 hours, 14 minutes and 40 seconds!
Every year, the bake sale itself brings the same spirit. Our team rolls up their sleeves, our kitchen fills with the smell of freshly baked treats and our customers show up with such generosity that it never ceases to amaze us. It's become one of our favourite days of the year, not just for the cakes (though there will be plenty), but for what the day represents: a whole community coming together for a cause that matters.
What to expect on the day
Pop along on the 25th and you'll find a table piled high with homemade sweet treats, all baked with love by our team. Every purchase goes directly towards our fundraising total for Macmillan, so you can enjoy something delicious while helping fund vital support for people affected by cancer, from specialist nurses to practical and emotional support for patients and their families.
There's no need to plan ahead. Just drop in, grab a treat (or three) and help us make this year's sale the best one yet.
